Porch terms.
Pumpkins and mums are living things. These terms are written with that in mind.
Your request
Sending a request asks for a spot; it isn’t a charge. Jen confirms your install window within 24 hours by text or email. Your week is held once your deposit is paid.
The $100 deposit
- A $100 deposit holds your install week and lets us buy your pumpkins and mums by name.
- Once your porch is staged, the deposit is non-refundable, because those pumpkins are already yours.
- If we can’t make your week, we’ll refund it.
- The balance is due on install day, when we’re done.
Prices and tax
Package and add-on prices on the site are per porch and before NC sales tax. Sales tax is added to your final invoice. Delivery is free in Carrboro, Chapel Hill and Hillsborough; Durham, roughly inside I-40 and 147, is +$42; farther addresses get a travel quote before anything is booked. A statement pumpkin is priced by size, from $90 to $180.
Weather
We work through light rain. For storms or unsafe conditions we reschedule and text you a new day.
Living produce
Every pumpkin, gourd and mum is a living thing, and each one is a little different from the drawing. Colors and shapes vary with the harvest; we match your palette as closely as nature allows. How long your porch lasts depends on sun, rain and frost. Mums want a drink every two to three days; your care card has the details.
Access, HOAs and safety
- We need a clear path to your porch on install day. You don’t need to be home.
- Please tell us about pets, gate codes and any HOA or landlord rules on the form, and we’ll work within them.
- We always keep walkways, steps and exits clear. We may adjust the design on the day to keep your entrance safe.
- Mums can upset a curious pet’s stomach, so we place them out of reach when you tell us about pets.
Removal
If you add end-of-season removal ($59 for Doorstep, $119 for Threshold and Porch, $179 for Harvest), we clear everything the week of Thanksgiving and donate or compost what’s left. Without removal, everything we leave is yours to keep. The mums are lovely planted in the garden.
Photos
We photograph your bare porch and your finished porch for our records. We only share a photo of your porch if you tick the box saying it’s OK, and we never share your address.
